Practical questions
I lost a child in the crowd. What do I do?
Find the nearest police officer and call 190. Before going out, agree on a fixed meeting point with your family — and write the guardian’s phone number on the child’s arm or on a card in their pocket.
Someone fainted on the hill. Who do I call?
Call 192 (SAMU, medical emergency). Give the nearest landmark — a church, square or corner — because exact addresses are hard to use mid-party.
Can I bring children to the pre-carnival parties?
Yes — look for events tagged "Family-friendly" in the guide. Prefer the start of the event, when it is emptier, and protect small children’s ears.
